The Ho'okipa Parkway Bypass will alleviate the huge traffic delays at the Pa'ia bottleneck on Hana Hwy and increase safety.
Adding more parking to Pa'ia and the beach parks (Baldwin, Pa'ia, Ho'okipa) will make the area more accessible and safer.

In order to prevent this from simply increasing urban sprawl, we need to set aside the area makai of the Bypass as part of the North Shore Heritage Park.
Doing this will increase beach access on the North Shore of Maui in an effort to alleviate the current overcrowding on Baldwin and Pa'ia Beaches.
In addition to the recreational advantages, advantages to our residents who commute, the Kuau & Paia corridor will benefit from a decreased noise and safer beach/coast access.
